These Terms govern your use of Matchy (operated by Matchy Technologies Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in India). By signing up, you agree to these Terms.
1. The marketplace
Matchy is a curated talent marketplace for Indian founders and developers. We match founders with developers, hold payment in escrow, and provide tooling for project delivery. We are not a party to the agreement between founder and developer beyond the services explicitly stated here.
2. Accounts
- You must be 18+ and legally able to contract in India to use Matchy.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and access tokens confidential.
- Developer accounts may be subject to vetting; we may decline or revoke access at our discretion.
- Curated (unclaimed) developer profiles are sourced from publicly-listed portfolios. If you find your profile and wish to claim or remove it, see Section 7.
3. Commissions and fees
Matchy charges a single fixed commission on each milestone release: 12% from the founder and 8% from the developer. There are no listing fees, subscriptions, or membership charges. Commission rates may change with 30 days' notice for new projects. Active projects retain their original commission.
4. Escrow and milestones
Founders fund escrow before work begins. Milestones release on founder acceptance or auto-release after 72 hours of inactivity. Disputes are handled per the Refunds & disputes policy.
5. Non-circumvention
Founders and developers introduced via Matchy must transact through Matchy for the duration of the engagement and for 6 months after final delivery. See the Non-circumvention policy.
6. Acceptable use
- No spam, scams, harassment, or illegal content.
- No sharing of contact information through Matchy chat before escrow is funded.
- No off-platform payment requests or attempts to bypass commission.
7. Profile claims and removals
Developers can claim a curated (unclaimed) profile at /claim by proving ownership of the indexed portfolio URL. To request removal of a curated profile, email privacy@matchy.io — we will remove within 72 hours.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matchy's liability for any claim is limited to the total fees paid to Matchy by the claimant in the 6 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in [City, to be finalised by counsel].
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance.
